Field Operations | Solar Technician, Electrician, Engineers
Our Field Operations team is the boots on the ground team responsible for providing ongoing field services support to multiple solar, battery storage (BESS) or other renewable energy systems on a continual/on-demand basis in order to optimize equipment performance, troubleshoot/resolve equipment issues, support emergency repairs and other provide ongoing O&M compliance support. Joining this team means you will assist with all routine site inspections, maintenance projects, equipment & system testing, and other project compliance, troubleshoot or restoration matters. Field Service Technicians, Engineers, and Electricians regularly participate in field support, training and project safety orientations/classes in order to develop skills and technical expertise in one or multiple disciplines including PV array, inverter, medium voltage, BESS and other solar services. Operations Leads, Solar Engineers and other management will provide regular coaching and training and will qualify technicians for field operations.
Travel Requirements: Extensive driving and regional travel is required to meet client field operations needs.

Required:
- Electrical License / Technical experience with power systems
- Familiarity troubleshooting complex electrical systems and components
- Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing solar DAS devices, networks, and monitoring components
- Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical diagrams, project design +drawings and other architectural plans/construction documents
- Proficient with technology and computing via a variety of cloud-based programs and data processing/technical/management software programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Strong customer service, professionalism, and good interpersonal skills is a must
- Comfortable working as a team player or independently if necessary
- 70% Field/Travel (localized, not overnight travel) – subject to change depending on project/customer
- Must have clean background, driver’s license, and professional demeanor
- Ability to lift 75lbs, work in hot and cold environments, climb ladders and stand/walk for long periods of time
Desired:
- Experience in the solar and/or renewables or power system industries
- Experience installing, operating and/or maintaining commercial/large scale PV systems, inverters, and data acquisition systems (DAS)
- Experience working with 600v-1500v systems and medium-voltage devices
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Strong knowledge of the NEC, IEEE, and current NFPA-70e requirements
- Ability to document services performed and generate professional reports
- Open to working a shifted schedule (Sat-Wed / Sun-Thurs)
